7 & 9 Tampines Grande

Of the latest and most cutting-edge environmental design, Tampines Grande is an exemplary model that sets the benchmark for new generation green office projects.  With close to 400,000 square feet of office space between the two eight-storey towers, Tampines Grande is the first commercial project in Singapore to use Building Integrated Photovoltaic Panels (BIPV) as part of its building façade.

Key Challenges

  1. Optimising daylight into the buildings while reducing glare and minimising solar heat gain.
  2. Provision of a highly energy efficient building envelope with a curtain wall lookalike façade.
  3. Realising an articulated undulating spandrel design that incorporates photovoltaic panels into the spandrel.
